Who We Are
The nonprofit, 501(c)3 NSSA Education and Outreach Foundation was formed by the National Storm Shelter Association (NSSA) and its Board of Directors. The Foundation’s sole mission is to inform the public about storm shelters and their reliability. Our vision is that all people in areas at risk from severe wind or tornadoes have reliable information about storm safety.
With or key vaules of integrity and collaboration, our mission is to inform the public about storm shelters and their reliability. We will accomplish this mission through our commitment to:
- Demonstrate leadership through the creation and dissemination of accurate and reliable information regarding storm shelters/safe rooms.
- Sponsor outreach initiatives to encourage the public to build, buy, and use storm shelters/safe rooms.
